Chromium zirconium copper (CuCrZr)

Resistance welding electrodes.

Applicable: Welding electrodes for spot welding and seam welding flash butt welding machines.

Mechanical properties and quality requirements of beryllium copper

    1.The appearance is smooth and clean, without pores, sand holes, and inclusions. Hardness HRC18-242. Performance: High conductivity, high temperature resistance, anti magnetism, and excellent wear resistance.

    2.Beryllium copper chemical composition Be: 0.6-0.7% Ni+Co: 1.9-2.1% Be: Ni (Co)+Cu ≥ 99%

The main use of chromium zirconium copper is as a resistance welding electrode material, which is determined by its excellent chemical and physical properties and good cost-effectiveness.

     1) The chromium zirconium copper electrode achieves a good balance among the four performance indicators of the welding electrode:

Excellent conductivity: Ensure the minimum impedance of the welding circuit and achieve excellent welding quality;

Wear resistance: The electrodes are not easily worn, extending their lifespan and reducing costs;

High temperature mechanical performance: The high softening temperature ensures the performance and lifespan of electrode materials in high-temperature welding environments;

High hardness and strength: Ensure that the electrode head is not easily deformed or crushed when working under a certain pressure, and ensure welding quality.

    2) Chromium zirconium copper electrode is suitable for spot welding and projection welding of carbon steel plate, stainless steel plate, coated plate and other parts. Chromium zirconium copper material is suitable for manufacturing electrode caps, electrode connecting rods, electrode heads, electrode holding rods, projection welding special electrodes, rolling welding wheels, conductive nozzles and other electrode parts.

   3) Electrodes are a type of consumables used in industrial production, with a relatively large amount of consumption. Therefore, their price and cost are also important factors to consider. Compared to their excellent performance, chromium zirconium copper electrodes are relatively cheap and can meet production needs.
